Thanks to Dennis Varza for finding and reporting the first year Ring-billed Gull which is banded on both legs and has a transmitter attached to it’s back. The bands are pretty legible as can be seen in the photos, with the bottom photo just of the legs/bands. For anyone that knows how to report the bands, please do so. These are low-res files.
This bird was photographed on Dec-29-2010 in Fairfield, CT at approximately 11am in the Stop & Shop parking lot. The bands read: Blue/White ZK1 and Silver Band 95417 (as best as I can tell, though there could be more numbers).
